This equipment permits the replacement of tacogenerators by an incremental encoder and a F2V. It is ideal for optimizing the performance of the speed control loop and eliminating the necessary preventive maintenance of conventional tacogenerators. The use of an incremental encoder as a measurement element is obviously abundant in an excellent linearity and signal-to-noise ratio. It also avoids ripple produced by tacogenerators when the motor jogs at low speed.
